By using the kiosk, you accept these terms.
Your use of the AI Photo Lab kiosk — including stepping up to it, taking or uploading a photo, choosing a theme, or completing a purchase — constitutes your full acceptance of this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not interact with the kiosk.

Section 01
Your privacy is our priority.
We take your privacy seriously. Your photos are processed temporarily to create AI-generated portraits. They are not stored permanently, sold, or used for any purpose beyond your immediate session.
Section 02
Image storage & deletion.
Local kiosk storage
Images captured or uploaded at the kiosk are stored temporarily on the local device:
- Storage duration: Less than 24 hours
- Purpose: Processing your AI portraits and printing
- Deletion: Automatically deleted within 24 hours after your session ends
- Access: Not accessible to any third parties or staff
Cloud processing (Google AI services)
To generate your AI portraits, images are temporarily sent to Google's Gemini AI service:
- Service provider: Google Cloud (Gemini API)
- Storage duration: Maximum 55 days, typically less
- Purpose: Security monitoring and abuse prevention only
- Training: Your images are NOT used to train AI models
- Human review: Your images are NOT reviewed by humans
- Automatic deletion: Images are automatically deleted from Google's systems after the retention period
We use Google's Paid Tier service, which guarantees that your customer data is not used for product improvement, model training, or human review. Your images are processed securely and deleted automatically.

Data protection.
What we collect
- Photos you provide at the kiosk (voluntarily submitted)
- AI-generated portrait images
- Payment transaction details (processed securely via Stripe)
- Your email address — only if you choose to receive your photos by email
What we don't collect
- Personal identification (name, phone number, address)
- Location tracking or device fingerprinting
- Browsing history or cookies (kiosk operates standalone)
- Facial recognition data or biometric identifiers
Security measures
- Encrypted transmission via HTTPS for all cloud communications
- Secure payment processing via Stripe (PCI DSS compliant)
- No permanent storage on kiosk devices
- Isolated sessions — your data never mixes with other customers'
Section 04
Payment & refunds.
Payment processing
- All payments are processed securely through Stripe
- We accept credit and debit cards via our card reader terminal
- Payment information is never stored on our kiosk or servers
- All transactions are encrypted and comply with PCI DSS standards
Refund policy
- Print quality issues: Full refund or reprint if photos are defective due to printer malfunction
- AI generation issues: We cannot refund based on artistic preferences, but will reprocess if technical errors occur during generation
- Payment errors: Immediate refund if charged incorrectly
- No refunds: Once photos are successfully printed and you leave the kiosk with them
Important: AI-generated images are creative interpretations. Results may vary based on input photo quality, selected themes, and AI model behavior. We cannot guarantee specific artistic outcomes.
Section 05
Family-friendly content.
Our AI service is designed for general audiences:
- AI models are configured to generate appropriate, family-friendly content
- All generated images are subject to automated content filtering
- We reserve the right to refuse service for inappropriate source images
- Portraits maintain the original faces and poses — only backgrounds, props, and costumes are modified

Terms of service.
Deemed acceptance. Your interaction with the AI Photo Lab kiosk — including taking or uploading a photo, selecting a theme, generating images, or completing a payment — constitutes binding acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using the kiosk.
By using this service, you agree to:
- Ownership: You confirm you have the right to use any photos you upload (you own them or have permission from every person depicted)
- Age: You are at least 13 years old, or are accompanied by a parent / guardian
- Appropriate use: You will not upload offensive, illegal, or harmful content
- License: You grant us a temporary license to process your images solely for generating and printing your AI portraits
- Output rights: You retain all rights to the AI-generated portraits you receive
Service limitations
- AI generation typically takes 10–15 seconds per image
- Printing typically takes 8 seconds per photo
- Service may be temporarily unavailable due to technical issues, printer maintenance, or network connectivity
- We are not responsible for subjective artistic quality — AI results vary
- Maximum 8 themes per session to ensure reasonable processing time
Prohibited content
You may NOT upload images containing:
- Illegal content or activity
- Explicit, violent, or offensive material
- Copyrighted or trademarked content you don't have rights to use
- Content intended to harm, harass, or deceive others
- Images of individuals without their consent (especially minors)
We reserve the right to refuse service and will not process transactions involving prohibited content.
Section 07
Third-party services.
To provide our service, we use the following trusted third-party providers:
Google Cloud (Gemini AI)
- Purpose: AI image generation and processing
- Data shared: Your uploaded photos and text prompts
- Retention: Maximum 55 days (abuse monitoring), then automatically deleted
- Privacy tier: Paid tier — your data is NOT used for model training or improvement
- Policy: Google Gemini API Terms
Stripe (Payment processing)
- Purpose: Secure credit / debit card payment processing
- Data shared: Payment card information (handled entirely by Stripe, never stored by us)
- Security: PCI DSS Level 1 certified (highest security standard)
- Policy: Stripe Privacy Policy
Resend (Email delivery)
- Purpose: Optional delivery of your generated photos by email
- Data shared: Your email address (only when you opt in) and the generated images you chose to receive
- Retention: Email metadata held by Resend per their policy; we do not store your address after delivery
All providers above are industry-leading services with enterprise-grade security and compliance certifications.
Section 08
Your rights.
- Access: Since we don't store personal data or identifiers, there is no account or history to access
- Deletion: Images are automatically deleted per our retention policy (local: <24 hours, cloud: ≤55 days)
- Opt-out: By not using the kiosk, you automatically opt out of any data processing

Section 09
Legal.
Limitation of liability
AI Photo Lab provides services "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for:
- Subjective dissatisfaction with AI-generated artistic results
- Technical failures, service interruptions, or force majeure events
- Loss or corruption of images due to system failures
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless AI Photo Lab from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from:
- Your violation of these terms
- Your upload of prohibited or infringing content
- Your misuse of generated images
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the kiosk is located. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate local courts.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the kiosk after changes constitutes acceptance of updated terms. Check this page periodically for updates, or email felix@izrr.dev for clarification.
